A NEW SOCIAL WAVE

You used to understand what was going on, but somehow it got away from you in the nineties as the Information Age turned the tried-and-true on its head. You found yourself buried under a landslide of information that was often meaningless. Labels such as generation X, generation Y and baby boomer are for example, useless in describing our desires, or in explaining how and why we behave as complex human beings.

To find an answer, the founders of the Social Intelligence Lab spent seven years surveying more than 800,000 respondents, and discovered whole new bands of influential individuals who are charting a new course and changing the world. This landmark research reveals, for example, startling new evidence that 59 million Americans, 6 million Canadians, 4 million Australians and 12 million Britons are transforming their social and political landscape, and in doing so are redefining the economic fabric of their countries. Change is occurring in the corridors of power and on local street corners alike as traditional ways are abandoned by personally powerful individuals who inhabit this new and often unpredictable world.

In a transforming society, power comes to those who successfully recognize who is charting the new path, shaping the new wave. The Social Intelligence Lab (SIL) research provides the lens necessary to identify and track the cross-generational band of individuals creating that new wave. The SIL social mapping is evidence-based, utilizing a bedrock of vast social research to identify the fascinating and revolutionary changes in society that will make a difference to everyone. It provides a fresh framework for fathoming the future.

The SIL social mapping demonstrates that new rules apply in understanding how powerful bands of individuals are changing society. So let’s begin the journey by setting the new compass. Along the way, we’ll explore how the world is being shaped anew and how social evolution is establishing, under our noses, a transformed society.

It’s time to meet the NEOs - that new economic order changing the traditional rules of consumer behaviour; the powerful individuals who are riding the wave of economic meltdown.
